2025
Between Drags and Silences
I stepped into the year with echoes in my chest,
Old voices, old lessons, learning how to rest.
I loved in broken lines, where silence felt like peace,
Mistook hope for duty, pain that wouldn’t cease.
I held half-written melodies and named that weight as faith,
Till courage taught me healing doesn’t mean to wait.
I don’t burn what was before, I let the past to be kind,
I thank it for the truth it left behind.
