Moving out was a tough choice,
However I regret not making it sooner,
Landed in a new city, all on my own,
With just one contact to dial on my phone.

A switch from professional to academics,
It was hard to keep up with,
I forgot how to read,
But kept up well with the shared belief.

Made new friends, rekindled with past,
Some bonds stayed, some didn’t last.
With fresh faces and a merry tone,
I found my homies, made a new home.

Reopened old wounds,
Got some new ones,
Realized they are still not ready to heal,
But life still went on.
